All of us seem to struggle with an angry temper from time to time. If you fall into this category, this prayer just may be exactly what you need.
Lord, your love brings freedom and pardon. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and set my heart free that nothing may make me lose my temper, ruffle my peace, take away my joy, nor make me bitter towards anyone.
When we begin feeling that our patience is slipping through our fingers, we need to pray this prayer without haste. We need to remember that when we begin to experience that feeling of losing control, that we realize that we never truly had control in the first place. God is in control – not us. Always has been that way – always will remain that way!
It is in these situations when we are in the most need for the Holy Spirit to abide with us and calm us down. We need to get into the habit of asking for help instead of losing our cool over things that we cannot control – and we need to start today. Here are a couple of quotes to get us started:
